• Music

IVOC’s therapeutic music program is a 12-session program, intended for groups of 6 - 10 teenagers to meet weekly. This program offers a unique opportunity for participants to improve their mental health through music, including beat production, freestyle cyphers, spoken word, lyric writing, and more.

IVOC’s professional music engineers and counselors work with participants to provide a supportive and therapeutic environment where participants can learn tools to create music, express themselves freely, and improve their mental health.

The topics discussed and the content created in each session are determined by the participants. During each session, participants will have access to IVOC’s professional music recording equipment. By the end of the program, participants will have successfully created and recorded their own personal song or beat that reflects their feelings, which they can share with friends and family.

  • Videography

IVOC's videography program is designed for 6 to 10 teens to meet weekly for a total of 12 sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with professional videographers and counselors to co-develop a short video from start to finish.

The concept of the video will communicate a message that reflects the participants' feelings and experiences. Throughout this program, we ensure that youth share equitable space with the team and that their perspectives are valued.

IVOC's core themes in this program focus on self-identity (who you are), goal setting (how to achieve your dreams), and professionalism. This internship provides a significant opportunity for young aspiring videographers, writers, and creatives.
