Isiah Tucker, LICSW
“The chance to provide youth with an opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive by way of therapeutic intervention is what drives my passion; it's what keeps me in the field of social work.”
A strong believer in God and the power of faith, a therapist, educator, and youth advocate, Isiah brings over 20 years of professional Social Work experience to IVOC. He provides clinical services and support to a diversified population of youth and families throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Isiah has a Master of Social Work degree from Springfield College and an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Fitchburg State University. Group therapy, individual - 1 on 1 psychotherapy, family therapy, support networking, clinical case management, and behavior modification are all well within Isiah’s scope of practice. Isiah’s clinical approach is guided by a strength-based, client-centered framework.
As a former school-based behavioral health clinician and former Social Worker for the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, Isiah has experience working with limited resources. Isiah is motivated to create chances for young people to use their natural strengths and skills. Utilizing said skills as a therapeutic tool to express themselves and build additional strengths along the way is the key.
Statement of Care: “The level of awareness a community has about the environment in which our youth are growing up directly impacts their growth and development. Music and multimedia can serve as both a wedge and a bridge between young people and the systems designed to support them. Healthy outlets for self-expression are imperative for their growth and overall well-being.”
